Hi
My wifes laptop (Sony viao 933 p4 256 ram 15gig hd 7gig free )is running
very slowly. Task manager shows that wins32 is using up to 95% of the cpu
time. The hard drive light also flashes about once a second.

I have run CHKDSK the HD does not need to be defraged.

Does anyone have any bright Ideas?

Thanks for any help

My computer is running extra slow. When I check the task manager there are
about 50 items yet I haven't started any programs. And, my CPU usage is up
and down like a rollercoaster. I have a current norton anti virus loaded and
did a complete scan (took 1.5 hrs) and nothing. Does any one know what is
going on with my PC? Please help?

Hi,

Take each process that you see on Task Manager's process tab, search for it
at google.com. Start disabling the unnecessary, non-system ones.
