WINS for Mac?

Hello all!

Is there a way for a Mac to use WINS? I just started using a PB G4 and
use it to manage a couple of dozen Win2003 servers. I can use IP
addresses, but...

I'm not sure if I can get this thing to access WINS for name resolution.

Any ideas?

Hi Martin!

Mac OS X can use WINS.

Go to /Applications/Utilities and open Directory Access. Make sure SMB
is checkmarked. Double-click SMB or click the Configure button and you
can enter a Windows domain name as well as a WINS IP address.
