Thanks Susan. This program is "extremely beta" :-), with the archive
containing only source code files for compilation with Delphi. From the
readme.txt:

"As for now this project compiles from command-line (dcc32.exe -
makefile included), compilation under IDE requires that
source\auxiliary units are installed as Components.

English translation 'under construction' ..."

I'll keep an eye on the project and see how it develops.

I downloaded the program, trying to use it to print Quicken[DOS]
report.

Does anyone know how to work this program? From DOS?Win?

And where is the executable file?

Thanks for any help.

As I said in my previous post, the download is the source code only.
You'd need Borland Delphi to compile the project and make an
executable. The whole project appears to be very much in its infancy.
I'd hang off and see how it develops, or search for a (more mature)
alternative.

Tramp posted another "Winprint" a while back. If old = mature this app
qualifies. . . ;)

WinPrint is a free utility to print in batch mode ASCII files in Windows
environment. It is possible to change the Windows printing defaults and
to merge text with graphic images. It can fully use the capabilities of
printer drivers: it is possible change some global peculiarities of the
printed pages using only command line parameters (more than 20
availables). A detailed manual (man_eng.txt) is included.

WinPrin2
wide text files such as Tabulation files in Landscape mode. Open the
desired file. You will see the file in the editor window. You can make
changes before printing. Select the desired Font. We recommend using a
fixed space font such as Courier New (the default). Proportional fonts
will not let the columns line up properly. Bold type looks better when
printed with small fonts but you can turn this off if you desire. If
AUTOCENTER is selected WinPrin will automatically determine the proper
font size to print the widest line and center the printout on the page.
Once you have found settings you like you can save them by selecting
Options/Save Settings on Exit. If you want WinPrin to be able to open
files from Windows Explorer. Start WinPrin and select Options/File
Associations. Check the boxes for the files you want to use with
WinPrin. WinPrin supports batch mode processing for printing groups of
files with specific parameters. WinPrin was developed by Detail
Technologies and is licensed for distribution to Data Vision Research.

Special requirements: None.

Freeware. Uploaded by the author.

Has any Delphi aficionado succeeded in making an executable file? If
so why not post it for the benefit of non-programmers?
