One of my clients has a mix of XP PRO and W95 computers in their office.
They have been using WinPopUp in W95 to send instant messages to all staff
to advise of system shutdowns, etc.
Is there an equivalent program in XP PRO that would be able to send/receive
to WinPopUP in W95?

TIA.

Use Windows Messenger.
Go to Start > Programs > Windows Messenger

Carey,

Thank you for your reply.

The network is Small Business Server 4.5a and we were hoping to find a
solution that did not involve internet access (similar to WinPopUP).

TIA.

Try using the command "NET SEND"
open a command prompt and type in "NET HELP SEND" for more information
