I need an example of what command_line looks like. I am trying to run defrag
c:\. Any ideas?

Not sure what you are after. Try Start ==> Help and Support ==> type in
defrag and click on the green arrow beside the box you typed defrag in.

But I am trying to run commands during the upgrade process.
Probalby shoud have posted this question on windowsxp.setupup.deployment.

If you are booting to the recovery console then there is no defrag command
available there. Are you upgrading from an older version of Windows? If you
can still boot from the old version you could defrag from there. There
shouldn't be any need to defrag during the upgrade/install process. If the
drive is fragmented you should be able to dfrag it after the upgrade. Are
you having some problems with upgrading?

I am upgrading a few W2K workstations through an automated batch routine.
After the upgrade I need to run serveral batch scripts.
These scripts will open up ports in the firewall, set a few registry
enteries, and defrag the c:\ drive.

Then my original post had the answer. All the command line options are
listed in Help and Support. To defrag C: you would simply use "defrag c:"
