Winlogon.exe Process

We had a poweroutage and computer went down, After the
power came back on the PC is running very slow.

Looked at the TASK Manager, Processes. Winlogon.exe is
running at 99% making the PC to run very very slow.

Any Help will be appreciated.
 
I'm having a similar problem. I don't know what triggers
it. I'm running Windows 2000 Server SP4. Just started
around 4/13/2004. I can't do anything on my computer,
really, except manually shut down and restart. Seems to
happen only when there's network activity on my pc. I've
run Spybot and AdAware multiple times to try to get rid of
anything that might be the cause.

PLEASE HELP!
 
I had the same problem. Go to norton Anti Virus. It seems it has somthing to do with anti virus running after SP1 from microsoft for Windows 2000. Let me know if this helps.
