winipcfg?

ME had a great little IP utility called winipcfg. I've
been told it doesn't exist in XP. Is going to the command
prompt and using ipconfig my only option? (sometimes my
wifi connectiong hangs and I need to release/restore).

There's a resource kit tool called wntipcfg.exe, which is very similar.

The download says that it's for 2000, but it does work with Windows XP.

Have you tried:
"ipconfig /release"
"ipconfig /renew"

I put these two commands in a text file on the Desktop and renamed it
"renew_ip.cmd", for a client who moves his notebook between two differnt
networks. he simply runs this when he connects to the new network, and all
is well.
