Winfixer!

Running IE6 on XP Home ed I keep getting assaulted by this Winfixer thing
that hijacks and resizes my browsers and keeps peppering me with messages
popups even though I have on the popup blocker and firewall. Anyone know
how to rid my system of this very agressive and annoying thing? Thanks.

And it's *very* difficult to get rid of!

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
your log to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/,

for expert analysis, not here.**

You *will* have to post your log to an appropriate forum: With the help of
an experienced handler, you should be able to remove all traces of Winfixer
in short order...but it'll be very complicated.

Well it's getting more and more prevalent by the minute. Most of the help
guru's are inundated trying to help. It's not just a pop up it seems. Really
gets into the code and worms through everything slowing machines down
drastically and basically making mush out of everything.
