is trying to instal, I run scan to clean it but it

Which option are you using to scan the system, Frank ? Suggest you first
show hidden files, folders, and system files :

Open MSAS and click the Scan options link. Choose Full System scan with
all 3 boxes checked. Have it Remove all remnants of windupdate.
Then scan again.

NOTE: If there is more than one User created profile on the system than
you will have to switch Users and scan from within the other profile to
successfully remove unwanted software.

If MSWAS finds anything on the second pass, Remove it. Then boot to Safe
Mode ( http://snipurl.com/dmbp ) and do another Full system scan.
Make sure that MSWAS is updated to the latest definitions before doing
any scans.
