windsock failure

I have been told by my internet provider that i have
windsock failure i cant get on the internet. Please help
i cant get through to HP due tot he virus. Is this a
virus issue i have.

"Winsock," and if you have a virus, anything is possible so the first thing
you want to do is rid yourself of the virus. If you have antivirus
software, run a scan, if not, it's probably too late to do anything but
start over because it doesn't sound as though you could install antivirus
software and then download the latest updates in order to rid yourself of
the virus.

You should have a tech support phone number from HP, try calling them for
help.
