Hello ... I know that I can create a "Windows" tool bar, much like the
Microsoft Office "Tool Bar" of old , but cannot find any documentation on
how to do this .. I did it once some time back, but can't find my notes ...
sad to say.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Create a folder on your desktop and drag whatever shortcuts into it
that you would want to appear in the toolbar. After doing this, you
right click the folder and drag it to the top of the desktop. Thus
creating a toolbar. You can then manipulate it to include text or not
and also use large icons or small......it can also auto hide or not.

Good Luck,

Not "RIGHT CLICK" but left click and drag it then drop it.....
to one of the far reaching sides of the desktop. I usually name this
folder "top_menu" or something like that. It needs to remain on the
desktop as well as it is referenced for the toolbar. Deleting the
folder will remove the toolbar.

Also forgot to mention that once the toolbar is created and
is showing....you can drag the icons around to your liking.

Click desktop, press F1 , type in toolbars, press enter, click "Add
Toolbars", read instructions.

For those users who prefer a pristine desktop, the folder referenced by the toolbar can reside
anywhere -- just drag it out of an Explorer window to the edge of the Desktop.
