I have had an anoying aplication which has got into my system I managed
to track it down to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurenVersion > Run
But it has apeared in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER >Software > Microsoft > Windows > ShellNoRoam >
MUICache
Can anyone tell me what the MUICache Key is for as there are millions
of keys in it.

I thought removing things from the 2 startup folders and the registry
Run. would only be
needed untill I discovered MUICache

Desmond.

These MUICache entries are apparently created by Windows when
applications are run
(http://windowsir.blogspot.com/2005/12/mystery-of-muicachesolved.html)
but I don't know what purpose it serves. I don't think you will do any
harm removing an entry from there, but I don't expect it will do any
harm to leave it either, as programs are not run from there. As always,
a backup or system restore point before messing with the registry is a
good idea.
