Whenever i d/click the .CLP file, it opens
the clipboard viewer without showing
the file contents.
By using the >File>Open command it works
ok.
Any help would be appreciated.

Inspect the .clp file association settings. Click Start, Run and type:

REG EXPORT HKCR\clpfile "%userprofile%\desktop\clp.txt"

Then attach clp.txt (present in the Desktop) with your reply.

Whenever i d/click the .CLP file, it opens
the clipboard viewer without showing
the file contents.
By using the >File>Open command it works
ok.
Any help would be appreciated.

See if this little trick helps you:

1. Right-click on your CPL file while holding the Shift Key.
2. Choose Open With..... If Open With was already there then under Open With
click Choose Program.
3. Click the Browse folder and find the CLIPBRD program under your
Windows\system32 directory.
4. Click Open.
5. Make a check mark on "Always use this program to open this kind of file.
6. Click Ok.

Now, try double-clicking on your CPL file and see if it open correctly in
ClipBoard viewer.

Hope this information helps you, let us know.

The file created by the command is

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clpfile\shell\open\command]

The .clp file association in File Type is
"Open with Windows Clipboard Viewer"

I would like to mention that situation is the
same as explained earlier in my WindowMe os. Instead of "clpfile" it is
"clp_auto_file"

Any help would be appreciated.

Inspect the .clp file association settings. Click Start, Run and type:

REG EXPORT HKCR\clpfile "%userprofile%\desktop\clp.txt"

Then attach clp.txt (present in the Desktop) with your reply.

Hi AAH,

I decided to try this myself, and noted that this problem is fully
