WindowsXP.General news server

What MS news server is 'microsoft.public.windowsxp.general' on?

I tried 'msnews.microsoft.com' server, and it is not listed. I am
having problems with my ISP EarthLink's news server with MS groups. Any
of my MS groups are timing out on EarthLink's server, but all other
groups are working fine. Sorry if this seems a bit of topic. I can
post, but not receive. I thought someone here may be able to help.

TIA!

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general is indeed on that server
msnews.microsoft.com. Maybe you need to refresh your list.

They are "coming from" the fact that your post appeared twice. Being
rude won't get you a lot of help.
