WindowsXP "forgets" Sharing

T

On my newest computer which is runnign WinXP, when I set a folder to be
shared on the network, the share setting seems to apply only to the files
that existed in the folder at the time I set the folder for network sharing.

From another computer, I can see all the files in that shared folder, but I
can only copy or access the ones that existed in the folder when that folder
was set for sharing.

I have a number of computers in my home network running either WindowsXP or
Win2K, on which I share folders and drives, but this bizarre network share
behavior appears only in my newest computer. FYI, it is running WinXP SP2.

To get around this, I have to constantly, "unshare" and then "re-share" the
folder.

Any explanation for this strange behavior and how I can fix this?
