Hi,

The firewall of Windows XP pro is off (in my network advance option) on my
computer but almost all my ports are blocked. There is no firewall on my
network. Can someone help me to fix this problem?

Thanks

Greetings Bob,

Do an online test and check the status of those ports. It is a good way to
check:

Are you sure you're not running any third party firewall such as NIS, NPF,
or ZA?

yes I know this link but it scans only the first 1050 (or so) ports. I think
a local port scanner like LPS is much better.

I have found the solution to my problem. The firewall of Windows XP is pure
crap! Even if you disable it sometimes your ports will remain blocked and
you wont be able to fix it by activating and disabling it again or even with
msconfig. The only way to solve this problem is to install another firewall
(software) like Kerio Personnal Firewall and reopen your ports.

no finaly it lasted just moment. the Windows firewall is back :((((
Any help?
