windows98 outlook express 6 problem w/attachment

When I send an email with an attachment, people are receiving multiple copies
of garbage...apparently nothing readable. When I send the same attachments
from windowsXP via gmail or yahoo, I have no problems. HELP!!!

I still need to use the windows 98 system for another couple of weeks until
I get everything transferred.

Ask in microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
 
As I am new at using this forum, I can't figure out how to get to
"microsoft.public.outlook express.general. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You're using the web interface. Look at the URL in the address bar in your
web browser. Replace the string "outlook" with "outlookexpress"
