Windows2003 AD DNS does not resolve Internet sites

E

Hi all,

I have noticed that after upgrading to Windows2003 AD, my computers and even
the DCs cannot resolve some sites such as ???.yahoo.com and others.

Is this a known issue? I have ran "dnscmd /config /enableednsprobes 0" and
still have the same problem , as a solution I needed to add as alternet DNS
the IP of another NON-Microsoft DNS.

thx

Do you have forwarders configured on your DNS servers? This is where you
should be entering the IP address of an external DNS server. Don't enter
this address directly in the IP properties of any of your PC's as this will
cause logon problems with AD.
