Hello, I have Windows XP Professional, and i've been
thinking of purchasing windows 2000, Since I have two
different hard drives, drive c and drive d. I would like
to know if I can install Windows 2000 in one of my
drives, and keep XP on my other one, As of now I have two
seperate XP Professionals installed on both c and d. I
would like to know if it would work if I installed 2000
on any of them, since it says I need to have 98/95, ME,
2000, or NT for the installation to work. Do you think it
would still work if I installed it over XP?

To do a clean install, either boot the Windows 2000 install CD-Rom or setup
disks. The set of four install disks can be created from your Windows 2000
CD-Rom; change to the \bootdisk directory on the CD-Rom and execute
makeboot.exe (from dos) or makebt32.exe (from 32 bit) and follow the
prompts. Choose to format the partition you're installing to then continue
the install.

After the install you'll need to boot the XP CD-Rom and repair the boot
sector from the recovery console.

You never did say what "it" was but you may want to contact the application
developer first.
