I have lost my connection to the Internet so I am trying to use System Restore yo go to an earlier date and hopefully get back on high speed connection, however my system restore will not begin the job at all. Any suggestions on gettin system restore working?

System Restore only restores Windows XP system files. If you have files for
your high speed connection that are not system files, they will not be
restores.

Suggest you provide more information on your high speed connection.
