how can i find out what kind of sound card is in my computer

Look in the Device Manager.

Power off, open the computer and look.

If you bought an OEM computer such as Dell, Gateway, HP etc and you have
made no changes, check your invoice and or contact the manufacturer.
You should get all drivers from them and no where else.,
