You do realize, don't you, that AutoDesk doesn't support the
installation of AutoCAD 2000 on any OS newer than Win2K, don't you?
At least, I can find no mention of any other operating systems in
conjunction with that specific version anywhere in AutoDesk's
knowledge base. In fact, the earliest version of AutoCAD specifically
mentioned as WinXP-compatible is AutoCAD 2002. Additionally, AutoCAD
2000 is scheduled for retirement on 15 Jan 2005. I think it's time
for you to seriously consider upgrading your AutoCAD to a more recent
(2002, 2004, or 2005) version.
You might try installing AutoCAD 2000 using WinXP's Win98 or Win2K
compatibility modes, but that's a long shot.
