Windows xp

I recenty had my motheboard replaced from a computer that I bought from Gateway, every time I try to activate windows xp it tells me that product is already activated however the countdown still continues for me to activate my copy of windows xp. What can I do to to stop the countdown I have already tried to reload it. can anybody please help me

If you didn't get the replacement motherboard from Gateway, then
it may well be that you cannot successfully activate the OEM WinXP
license. Contact Gateway for assistance.
