Do you mean your quicklaunch bar on your taskbar? If so,
just right click on an empty piece and select "open". Then
you have a folder with al the links, you can remove them
there.
Or did you mean the toolbar in internet explorer? There
you can right click anywhere on the toolbar and remove the
checkmarks infront of any bar to let the bar disapear. Or
you could even click "customize" to futher determine what
buttons you want to show and what not.
