Files that post date the restore point and that are stored on the desktop
will be removed. To protect them, move them off of the desktop and
into a "safe" folder such as My Documents. Any wanted updates that you
installed after the restore point will need to be reinstalled again.

This may not be quite right. In general *data* files downloaded will
be ignored by SR. Ones in the monitored space (ie not in My Documents,
but including desktop for 'local' user profiles ) on monitored drives
will be restored/deleted if they are say .exe but not if say .doc .txt,
jpg

Very true, Alex. The files must be of the type that are monitored by system
restore such as an EXE file. Thanks for pointing that out. Appreciate it :)
