How do I turn off auto-notification of messages waiting
for me in HOTMAIL when I am at my windows XP logon screen.

Hi!David!
To change it manually - Start/Run/Regedit:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\UnreadMail\[Your E-Mail Address]. In the right pane
modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\UnreadMail. In the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays
Change it to 0.

Or, you may use Tweak UI to remove it.
