We recently updated my computer to with Windows XP.

We realized we did not have Norton Anti virus on the
computer.We downloaded Symantec on the computer and now an
error message comes up and I cannot access my shared files.

Is there a security thing I need to do.

Please let me know as I cannot access any of our files.

The mere act of downloading software does not affect access to shared files.

You did not mention whether you actually installed NAV. If you did
successfully install it, there may be some setting in the program that is
causing the problem. You need to consult Symantec technical support, at this
