Windows XP workgroup problem

Hi All
I have a network of 10 pc in same workgroup all are in Win XP home/prof. I
am able to find 6 computer in network place & other 4 computer is not viewing
there. But from other 4 computer I also able to find out another 6 computer.
From 6 computer I am able to share everything and from all 10 computer I can
findout share doc.
Whats may be the problem. Pls help me..

There can be a number of reasons, not least of which is a misconfigured
firewall.

HST Would it not be better to designate one computer as the data-store? That
way you only have to get one connection working per computer, instead of
nine.

The big issue with peer-sharing arrangements (apart from the need to
maintain ninety network-connections in working order for ten peers) is that
it is almost impossible to police the backing-up of data. Sooner or later
some critical data will be lost, and there will be no backup because no-one
even knew exactly where that data was being stored, let alone who was
resposnsible for backing it up.

Mohammad,

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this

For more direct help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from 4
computers, 2 in the first visibility group (of the 6), and 2 in the second
visibility group (of the 4), so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article,
