I am attempting to log on a Windows NT User onto a
Windows XP Client, the only problem is when I try to
apply a group to the user account, for e.g. make the user
part of the Administrator group, so that you can right-
click the start-menu and open the properties panel, the
changes aren't being applied. The client then states that
I don't have privileges for that action, even though I
have added the user to the group.

Please Help.

I hope I understand your question correctly.. I'm assuming
you are in a domain.. usually you will need admin rights to
the machine first to make changes to an account that does
not have admin rights in the domain. Log on to the
workstation as an admin (not the user), then add the user
to the group you want in the domain.. if you are making the
change, then the domain will ask for your user id to be
able to add the user to the admin group that you want in
the domain.
I hope this helps.
