My computer shuts down like normal but will not go past the blue screen
saying windows is shutting down. I've tried several different options from
performance and maintenance, but to no avail. I noticed a similar post
recently but, thought this would accentuate the need to find a cure for my PC.

I push the blue button and hold to finally shut the computer down. My
intuition suggests the problem involves new devices such as IPOD, MP3 or PDA
stuff or a security program could be at the heart of the problem, but who
knows.
