Windows XP will not load

I get the usual message: Apologize for the inconvenience, Windows
did not start successfully...A recent software or hardware change may
have caused this...

1) Can't start windows in any of the safemode choices

2) Won't allow me to reformat c:

3) Won't allow reinstall of XP...everything appears to be loading then
when I choose install XP or Repair XP I get a blue screen disable antivirus, run
disk defrag. Run CHKDISK /F Stop 0x00000024

4) Won't allow Repair console (blue screen again)

5) Won't allow XP Repair Choice (same blue screen)

As you see, I'm running out of the simple solutions

Asus A7X8X-X, WD SE 80G HD,

Other: just installed ATI 8500LE, Creative Soundblaster, ASPI ver. 1.6

Try installing XP from scratch, deleting the partition and creating a new
one. If your HDD still physically works, this would fix any logical
problems.

Problem Solved...

Like I said, windows xp wouldnt allow me to reinstall, restore, repair
or delete the partitions with my XP CD. I kept getting the blue
screen when I tried to initiate these processes. The simple solution
was to use the FDISK utility to delete the partitions. After that I
was able to reformat and reinstall XP.
