Hi, I just noticed that when you have separate user accounts that the e-mail
addresses that you log into get saved and tell you that so and so has so many
e-mail address and when you click on it, it tells you the email address. I
was wondering if there is a way to disable this feature as I do not want
other people being able to see an e-mail address that I do not want made
public. Would greatly appreciate this information.

Thank you,

Donna

Do you mean the mail notification on the Welcome Screen?

Hey, thank you and yes that is what I mean, and is the above web address
with Line 100 supposed to do something, or how do I go about disabling this
feature.

Thanks again!!!

If you will go to the site posted and scroll down to the 100 line and click
on "Disable Mail on Welcome Screen and allow the download, save on desktop
and then click on the icon and allow the import to your registery and it
should fix your problem.

There are several ways to disable this. Malke gave you one. Another is
to download and run TweakUI , one of the MS powertools, from this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Run it and look in the Logon section for an option to disable the
display of email.

A third option is to edit the registry. See this MS Knowledge Base article.

Hey Roy, I did go to the site posted and scrolled down and clicked on line
100 which opened up another page with some kind of ??address or something on
it, there was nothing to download, I did try copying and pasting this onto
another page which brought me a ??windows xp page??? Not sure what I am doing
wrong or if the link is not working properly or what. Any other suggestions
would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!!

Did you click on "Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen"?

I just went to the site and click on above and was offered the download.

You may want ot try again.
