Windows XP Update Error 0X80190193

I am unable to update WIndows, and instead get the
Windows update error shown above. The Trouble shooter
suggests I download and install Windows Script 5.6, which
I did and it did not resolve the problem. When I
indicate on the troubleshooter that it did not resolve
the issue, the screen goes blank and I get a message
indicating "The page you are trying to visit has
generated an error".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
