Windows XP takes 10 minutes to load

Wondows XP takes at least 10 minutes or longer to boot on
new system with new windows xp with service pak 1 on it

System is motherboard: Zenith 9cjs
Processor: Intel P4 2.6ghz 800mhz fsb hyper threading
ram: 1gig of Kingston
Video Radeon 9800 pro w/256m ram
sound: sound blaster audigy 2

What is the HD speed? That's usually what takes up 90% of the loading time.
Also do a full scan after it boots, with both options checked. It takes a
while but you may have some corrupted areas on the disk which makes
reading and writing slow.
