Whenever I shut down the computer, I re-start the next day only to find that
the time and date are incorrect. It always comes up with the wrong time and
year! like year 1601. Upon boot up the system it states that the time and
date are wrong and asks for F1 or F2 to continue the start-up. Is this a
battery problem? I should not have to set the correct time each day. Could
use some suggestions..... Thanks

Yes, this is a simple battery problem. Assuming you have a desktop, all you
need to do is replace the small coin-shaped battery on the motherboard.
This will cost <$5.00USD and is very easy to do.

Thanks, Malke, very much for your reply. I purchased a replacement battery
and it solved the problem. The computer now boots-up the way it was intended.
