When I start my machine I recieve a message stating "Alert! OS Install Mode
Enable"

I then proceed and it say's that NTLDR is missing CTRL+ALT+DELETE to
restart. I can not even boot from disk.

Anyone have any good advice. I want to clean the comp. and reinstall XP.

THanks,

Steve

Can you go into the BIOS and change the first boot device to CDROM?

Exit and save changes, boot from XP

Hi Richard,

I don't. I just triple-boot one of my computers, using Windows 98 SE,
Windows ME and Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2. In order to see the
XP Partition, I need to use FAT32 File System. I wrote up the procedure
during one of my Windows XP Reinstall adventures.

So if you don't need FAT32, then you can select NTFS File System
instead. The rest is the same. The choice is up to the Owner of the
Computer, not me. But if you Dual-boot between Windows XP HE, or
Professional and Windows 98 SE or Windows ME, then I would recommend FAT32,
if the partition size is under 32 GB. So whatever operating system, one
boots into, you can see the Documents on the other partition.
