Windows XP SP2 Problem!

My computer freeze a lot of time since I installed SP2 from Windows Update.
I tried to buy the CD and installed it from the CD but now my computer is
slow. Also my computer is designed for Windows XP and on my manufacture's
website it says that I should get Windows XP. Also, if I don't install it I
can't get important update from Microsoft Geniune! HELP PLEASE!

Question 1-4

!---Brand name of PC; Dell,H P,---etc.?
1a--Did you buy one from Mfg; what OS was installed with it?

2--- What CD disk OS did you buy?

3--Microsoft Geniune! it willn't valadate your OS ?

4---When you put this disk in, did you, as a new install or rapair?
