Windows XP & Sony VAIO

I just upgraded to Windows XP on my Sony VAIO which came
with Windows ME. The fan motor seems to be working very
hard all the time, which leaves me wondering if this is
the norm?

I never had it working this hard during normal internet
surfing and other functions, while using Windows ME
