I'm running XP and Outlook Express 6 for my email client.
My problem is that anytime someone sends me a webpage
address in an email, XP justs goes 'Bong" and will not
open IE to take me to the webpage. I have to Copy the
address from the email, open IE then paste it in the
address location to go to the webpage. The odd time the
same thing happens in IE. I click on a link and all I get
is the "Bong" sound. Any ideas on how to fix this would be
greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Hyperlinks not opening:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and then repeat the
process for regsvr32 shdocvw.dll.

Check your settings here:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
