I am trying to search for keywords inside of a .rsp file with Windows XP
Search. I am able to find the .rsp files by searching for (*.rsp) but when I
enter a keyword to look for in the file I find nothing. I am able to find the
keywords inside the .rsp files within Windows 2000. any suggestions?

XP's search function will only look for text in files with certain
extensions. You can modify XP's search to include the .rsp extension.
See this link for info on this.

Using the "A word or phrase in the file" search criterion may not work

Another option is to use something like AgentRansack which is free and
works well.

Thank you for the information you provided. I am still not able to search
inside of the .rsp files when I add search for unknown extensions in the
advanced options of the finder. We have purchased a third party tool called
Advanced Finder that works very well. Why would this work in Windows 2000 but
not in XP? My company wants me to find out if the search in 2000 is different
than XP.
