You won't be able to delete it from an active Windows session. The only
way to delete it would be from another operating system while Windows is
asleep. If you delete it then restart the installation all your user
accounts will be gone and you will be left with only the built-in
administrator account with no password on it. The user accounts that
you had will be orphaned and will show as unknown accounts in the System
Properties User Profiles. I have not tried but perhaps as an attempt to
recover these orphaned profiles they could be copied to another profile
but I don't know. The users' data files (My Documents) however will
still all be on the drive and accessible.
