windows XP restart problem!

Hi,
I am using intel web camera (CS630) for conference in windows 98 and it was
running well.
When I upgraded my operating system to Windows XP professional, the webcam
started to switch off my whole computer whenever I accept an invitation for a
conference. Unless the driver of the camera is being re-installed EACH TIME I
start the computer.

Any help?

If you upgraded over W98 instead of doing a clean install with the upgrade
disk, you'll have all sorts of problems. Do a clean install. You'll have to
show your W98 disk when asked for proof of eligibility. Directions here:

I disagree. Unlike with previous versions of Windows, an upgrade
to XP replaces almost everything, and usually works very well.


My recommendation to everyone is to at least try the upgrade,
since it's much easier than a clean installation. You can always
change your mind and reinstall cleanly if problems develop.
