I have Windows XP Pro and Office 2003 on my machine.

Windows seems to have problems repainting the screen back to normal.
for example, when I click on start menu..itz all garbled..like when you
are running out of memory..but there is adequate RAM..not too many
processes running in the background..not sure what is causing the
problem. also, when I open up word and scroll up or down..the text
becomes completely garbled..unreadable.

does Windows XP Pro have a repaint bug that anybody is aware of?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks.

Hii, you may be running on low on ram, increase your virtual memory!
My computer (right click) Properties > Advanced > Perfomance Settings>
Advanced > Virtual Memory.

Also scan your system for infections! (trojans n viruses)
resources:
http://safety.live.com (online scanner)
www.windowsonecare.com (ms antivirus)
www.freeav.com (avera antivir)
www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx (windows
defender)

Hope this helps...
