Windows XP reformatted

I reformatted my computer and ever since window updates are no
available and when visiting certain websites like microsoft, interne
explorer, windows etc.. it says it cannot display page but interne
works for other sites. When I try to update my antivirus it says n
connection to the internet but I verified with my company and the mode
is installed ok

is installed ok?

Your modem may well be installed ok, but there must be other settings which
are not. Contact your ISP again for a thorough walk through of ALL
settings..
