Reformat 2nd hard drive

I moved my old HD to the 2nd position when I installed a new HD, but I did
not reformat it or erase any files at that time because it had files I wanted
to move to the new HD. Now I need to reformat it and use it only as an
internal backup sotrage.

Tried using the format command, but nothing happened, not even an error
message. Is it because it also has the Windows OS on it as well? I'm using
NTFS.

Use Disk Management. Right click My Computer | Manage. Expand Storage
and click on Disk Management. Right click the drive in the right pane
and choose Format.

How did you attempt to format it? You can do it from within Windows. Go
to Disk Management (Administrative Tools) and format the drive.
