I don't know, but I'm having the same trouble. I turn off
the computer, but it keeps restarting. If you hear
anything, please let me know. Thanks

Something may be causing a "system failure" class error on your
computer.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recover window click on the checkbox for
"automatically restart" to clear it.

That should put an end to the restarts. However these may be
replaced by "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP errors and the computer may
lock up at that point, requiring a manual power off and restart.

However the contents of the STOP error message will be a direct clue
as to the underlying cause of the problem.

Good luck

You have something that is crashing - and the system's 'automatically
restart' is cutting in. Turn this off: in Control Panel - System -
Advanced, click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section. There
uncheck 'automatically restart'. You can also usefully change the
'write debugging information' to (none) unless you are actively needing
a dump for debugging something, or to 'minidump' if you are getting
errors that you wish to report on to Microsoft.

You may now get a Blue screen failure instead, but at least will get
some guidance as to what is happening. If, as is likely, it is trouble
with a driver, the bottom line of the screen will have a reference to
something.sys - look for that file in windows\zsystem32\drivers, and
right click it; Properties and the Version page should indicate what it
is for so you can look for an updated version from the makers

Almost anything when set to 'Restart on error'. Try looking in the Event
Viewer.
