Why doesn't the "Windows XP Professional x64 Edition" newsgroup have any
posts and why can't I post to it?

The newsgroup is alive and well:
microsoft.public.windows.64bit.general
Reset the newsgroup and check your newsreader settings.

What in the world are you talking about? I am using the web based newsgroup
reader.

I never use the web interface as you do.
I use a news reader and there are new post showing up.
If you are still not seeing the posts on the web interface, try a newsreader
instead.

What in the world are you talking about? I am using the web based newsgroup
reader.

That's probably a major part of your problem. The newsgroup is
perfectly accessible to anyone using a real newsreader, such as Outlook
Express, Thunderbird, Forte Agent, etc.
