Windows XP Professional wont install on computer

i own windows xp professional -> full retail version not
upgrade, and tried to install on my IBM Aptiva-> 600mhz
256 ram etc, meets all req's. But when i try to install
it just restarts when it enters the install, what is
going wrong!

Need more information what is the sytnax the you are using.

install. Because the system might not meet xp profess
specs.

not sure what enter the install means,did you format hdd?

did you choose upgrade?
where in install exactly is it rebooting?
