I PURCHASED WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL FROM EBAY AND WHILE I
WAS IN THE PROCESS OF RELOCATING I CRACKED THE CD IN
HALF. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON HOW TO REPAIR,
FIX OR GET ANOTHER CD DISC BESIDE OF PURCHASING ONE. I
LOST THE OEM NAME THAT I PURCHASE THE DISC FROM. ALL I
KNOW IS I GOT IT FROM A BID ON EBAY.

Please don't post in all CAPS. That said.....

The CD itself is worth very little, it's just plastic. Do you have
the license key it came with? In other words the product key?

If you have that, you can always borrow another CD of the SAME TYPE
and make a copy of it. Remember though, it has to be the same type.
If your copy is an OEM (which I believe you say it is) one, then you
must use another OEM CD to copy. You can not copy another type and
expect it to work with your product key.

By the way, if you do not have the product key, you're out of luck.
You'll have to purchase another copy.

Good luck.

Good advice on all points, and if it is a retail version they can get a
replacement CD.

REPLACEMENT MS CDs - 1 800 426 9400

OEM CDs that are out of business - 1 800 325 1233

If your computer maker refuses to issue a replacement CD, get the full and
correct spelling of person's name you talk with and what department they
work in. You could then ask if you can talk to a supervisor. If that doesn't
do any good, get that person's full name and department and call MS at 1 800
360 7561 and tell them what happened and who you talked with.

Greetings --

First of all, please unstick your CapsLock key. Posting in all
caps, as you have done, is the Usenet equivalent of shouting, and is
considered very rude. More importantly, posting in all caps makes the
post very hard to read, further reducing your chances of getting help.

To recover a lost Product Key:

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

How to Replace Lost, Broken, or Missing Microsoft Software or Hardware

If it was an OEM license, you'll need to contact you the
computer's manufacturer. No one else can help.
