Try putting your XP CD in the drive and then attempt a boot and see if it will boot from the disk. Without a little more detail as to what exactly happens when you attempt to boot the machine it is difficult to give you a solution. For instance: can you tap the F8 key at bootup and get into the recovery options screen? If so then there are ways of repairing a corrupt boot path by going into the recovery console. Post back with more details and we can give you more detailed answers. {:~)
